Why We say Good-Bye

Reasons why we say good-bye to things or people are different – depends on who we say good-bye i.e. on each individual case of leaving something or someone behind. They vary from very serious and important to trivial – just because we want so – without any extra justifications or explanations – sometimes we would love to feel much more powerful than good-byes we say.
When we say good-bye to friends, reasons vary. It may be betrayal or trivial case of leaving the country due to personal or professional choices. We often simply say good-bye to friends because they change and we no longer feel comfortable being close to them and sharing our private spiritual things with them.
There are so many 'because' to the question implying why we say good-bye to our lovers or even spouses: we or they have found someone else (adultery), trivial incompatibility surrounded by not-too-trivial fights and misunderstandings, mistreat or abuse, inability to stand their behaviour or habits, distance – either spiritual (emotional) or actual...
We may say good-bye to our job because we (logically) have found a better one, or because we, say, have to move to another place due to family circumstances. We say good-bye to Motherland because we make the choice in favour of other country for personal reasons which often prompt the issue of money. We say good-bye to our youth simply because time is impossible to stop neither the aging process.
There are different reasons when people leave freedom behind – mostly because people may understand the concept of freedom in many different ways. Some lose freedom because they get married, to others saying good-bye to freedom means getting to jail...
