good-bye:

Saying good-bye to one’s job is a trivial thing, though there are exceptions of course. If you are mature and i.e. professionally experienced enough, you must have changed many jobs till you found something that more or less suited you.

There are people who even say good-bye to happiness. Of course, if any person was asked a question: ‘Would you ever refuse from happiness if it suddenly arrived and knocked on your door?’, the answer would invariably be ‘NEVER’. So does it mean that people have reasons to say good-bye to their happiness? So much for the power of good bye, or maybe it’s another hardship, a trick, a choice making which will make us stronger in time?

info:

Saying good-bye is a piece of cake when you leave something that is transient in your life. However, saying good-bye is always difficult when you (have to) just drop something you got used to, something you love being occupied with or something that gives you positive emotions.

We say good-bye to so many things and people, that we don’t realize the strength of this farewell ‘magic’ word and the power it often possesses over us.

Good-Bye to Motherland

Sometimes we take the country we were born in for granted i.e. we don't realize how precious and priceless things that surround us are – friends that we've had here since childhood, our first love that happened in our native city at a local school, family that lives nearby, our native language and people that we find so similar to us regarding their mentality and way of thinking even.

That's why when a person leaves to another country for good he or she doesn't always realize the priceless character of all the things that surround the person in the native country. Only when he/she goes abroad and lives there for some time, the person understands that his good-by to Motherland was powerful enough to make him/her feel sorry about the decision for some time, for abroad things are always different – different people, (often) religion, views, mentality, customs, places and even the language.

Some people suffer from nostalgia which often even turns into depression when they are abroad. Sometimes it lasts for the first few months until the person who has left his native country starts getting used to the new society and its rules. However, there are cases when people's good-bye to Motherland prevents them from living a normal life abroad and they eventually come back once they reach something they have planned to reach in a foreign country – usually these goals concern one's professional sphere and i.e. material side of life.

There are cases when people leave their Motherland for the sake of love, their potential soul mates that live in foreign countries. In these cases people say good-bye for the sake of saying hello to something brand new; and in case this something brand new works out well – the power of good-bye simply pretends to give up and doesn't dare affect two people's love and mutual happiness.
